Pizza, pasta & more! A good pizza needs the right combination of different ingredients that go well together. The pizza in our Dorfcafe Unken tavern is prepared according to original Italian tradition. We attach great importance to using regional pizza ingredients such as tenderloin on pizza, goat cheese from Unken and many vegetarian ingredients. It takes more than three days for the full process from preparing the yeast dough to baking the pizza – allowing time to neutralise the often undesirable yeast taste. Light and crispy is just how pizza should be and that's how it is served to our guests! Since our pizzas are baked directly on the stone, the base is particularly crispy. For our pizza sauce, we only use sun-ripened tomatoes from Italy, which are used immediately after the harvest. This guarantees excellent quality and an incomparable aroma. The best olive oil and fresh herbs round off the sauce perfectly. According to tradition, we only use mozzarella as cheese.
